SMS Advertising

Aside from voice service, text messaging is the most popular mobile service used by consumers today. Almost all mobile users are capable of sending and receiving text messages. This gives companies a great opportunity to use SMS advertising to reach the largest mobile audience possible.

According to the Nielsen Company, 77 percent of U.S. mobile subscribers used SMS by the end of 2007. In comparison, the same report said that 36 percent of mobile subscribers accessed the mobile web in the same period. More evidence of SMS' pervasiveness: SMS-based information search was used by nearly 15 million consumers to get sports scores, news or weather during the final quarter of 2007, according to the Nielsen Company. This makes mobile advertising a ripe new medium for reaching out to new and existing customers.

What are people saying?

" Today, a very unusual electrical storm passed through our resort causing emergency evacuations and lifts on hold. We were able to mobilize immediately and to then communicate when it had passed to key operations people on the mountain (no where near a computer, but with a handy cell phone.)...this was the absolutely perfect opportunity to demonstrate the power of this technology. Thank you! "
